FMJ 2.0 (alpha version) Released to Public

Obviously, I have taken some time off from this blog since the end of the season (and quite honestly a few weeks before that). The fact is that I just didn't have anything to say.  Or maybe there wasn't much that needed to be said. You didn't need me to tell you there wasn't anything going on! But with the announcement that Scott Arniel will coach the Blue Jackets in 2010-11, the NHL Entry Draft, the start of Development Camp later this week and free agency kicking off on July 1st, things are finally starting to heat up.

So I'm back, or at least I will be soon. In the meantime, I took advantage of some new Blogger design upgrades and gave the site a new look. I'm calling it an alpha version for the time being. Translation: expect more tinkering between now and the start of the season.

I'm working on a fully mental look at the Blue Jackets off-season, which I hope to post later in the week. Until then, I will leave you with a couple of items to snack on regarding Scott Arniel.  Did you know that Arniel was involved in 25 fights during his NHL career? You can check out his "fight cards" here. Better yet, watch him in action below against Ulf Samuelsson on March 28, 1989 (it starts at 21 seconds in). The dude could hold his own! There is indeed a new sheriff in town. And Barry Trotz better watch his back!
